Questions about the desk behind this Arcade Session shortlist
A short Q&A on who runs the solarium desk, how each Arcade Session is tested, and where the company sits in Köln.
Who runs this desk?
Protocol answer: Sunlight Games GmbH operates the solarium desk from Zülpicher Str. 336, 50937 Köln, Germany. The desk ranks three local HTML5 builds that live under /play on this domain and writes one review per build.
What is an Arcade Session here?
Protocol answer: a single browser run of 25 to 100 seconds. The desk opens a build, plays one run, records what the first inputs show, and stops. There is no store listing to scrape and no invented rating to quote.
How are builds checked?
Protocol answer: four fixed checks — session fit, input clarity, risk readability, return pull. Each check ends with a dated result. The current check date is 6 November 2026.
Why only three games?
Protocol answer: a longer list dilutes attention. Three cards fit one screen of ranking without padding. The length note sits at /articles/arcade-session-shortlist-length.
Is this affiliated with an app store?
Protocol answer: no. The desk is not affiliated with Google Play, the App Store or any platform vendor. Builds run in the browser under /play. Nothing is installed from a store page.
